INDEPENDENT CLUB BACKSTAGE
is an underground club that promotes alternative, independent and underground music
in the city of Maastricht in the south of Holland.
Backstage is located in the basement of a former Tabaco
& Sigaret factory. Build around 1920 the building is now
an industrial Monument, located just outside the city center
in the city of Maastricht in the south of Holland.

Because Backstage is part of this huge factory building and located in the basement, the only thing visible at street level is our entrance.



Backstage is not only underground music wise
but we are also litterly Underground.
Desent down the stairs from streetlevel to
enter the club.


The interior of Backstage is constantly changing.
Depending on the style of event or the amount of people expected you will find several tables and
barstools or a lounge area with couches to relax in.
Heavy industrial fences to close off sections or some times even one big open place to give
people as much dancing space as possible.
Let us surprice you with the many different faces of Backstage.

To keep things interesting we often move the furniture around and we do the same with our dj's.
You might find the dj's caged in our dj-booth in the middel of the club, or on the stage, or sometimes even right in the middle of the dancefloor.


Besides the large dancefloor there is also a lot
of opportunity to chill out and relax.

Take a break and have seat on the couches to
work up some more energy to party on.


Don't feel like dancing?
Play some Pool, Pinball, Videogames or some Fooseball in our game corner.

Hangout with your friends or meet some new ones
while shooting some pool and having a beer.

Starting July 1 it is no longer allowed to smoke inside any bar in Holland, this means that you can also no longer
light-up inside Backstage. Because Backstage still wants to give you smokers a chance to have a nice party night
without going through withdrawl , we created a smoking area near the emergency exit by the pooltable.
Here you can smoke in a nice atmosphere and in a covered area so you don't have to stand on the street or in the rain.
